Slopcore
An aesthetic or creative style that deliberately embraces obvious AI generation, algorithmic excess, low-quality digital clutter, and the look of internet slop.

Slopcore may be a criticism of disposable AI content or an intentional artistic choice that exaggerates synthetic mistakes, repetition, and algorithm-friendly weirdness. Some creators use the label proudly and treat AI artifacts as the aesthetic itself. The word is still flexible, so it can describe music, images, video, design, feeds, or an entire online atmosphere.
The term grew from AI slop, a dismissive label for mass-produced or low-effort generative content. As artists and meme communities began intentionally using warped AI visuals, endless generated media, and synthetic music, -core turned the criticism into the name of an emerging aesthetic during 2025 and 2026.
